Today I was learning how to add a image attribution to my profile page.

I enjoyed every single part of this.

I found nothing challenging.

My digital learning object shows that I can do an Image attribution.

Camp Anaura Bay 2019

Last week we went to Anaura Bay for our class camp. One of my highlights was jumping off the Tolaga bay wharf that was the coolest thing about the whole camp. Another one of my highlights was  on Thursday we woke straight up and went for a early morning swim, the swim was really cold but it Definitley woke me up. here are some more photos.

Today I was learning to use we video properly and using all the music.

 I enjoyed finding photos of me and being to figure out how long ago that was.

 I actually to be honest didn't find this challenging at all I've been on this plenty of times and it is a really cool app.

 Next time I would change nothing at all except for put in some more photos.

Today I was learning to make a fake Image.

 I enjoyed trying to find out wich photo was real and which photo was fake.

 I found it challenging to sit around and do nothing.

Where Am I?

I see people falling off motorbikes, going down hills and crashing, smoke rising.

I smell the exhaust pipe burning, and mud flicking around.

I feel grippy handle bars as we zoom back down the hill, my big feet trying to flick up gears.

I taste a huge fresh gust of wind blowing hard up against my face.

I hear the sound of motorbikes ripping through the wet damp grass.

Where am I?

Today I was learning to use tour builder.

I enjoyed just playing around with the app.

I found it challenging to find the locations on the app.

Today I was learning to duplicate slides on google slides.

 I enjoyed creating my character and doing something about the RWC { Rugby World Cup }.

Today I was learning to polyline a flag,a animal and a flower to do with Ireland.
I enjoyed creating a character out of everything.

Visit To The Long Fin Eel

Recently our class went down to see some longfin eels in the local river. We went to visit them because we are studying endangered animals and these are one of them. When got back to school after the trip we wrote poems and I wrote a haiku.

Haiku

Lurking in waters,

Emerging from murky depths,

Stalking the stink meat.

Searching the river,

Waiting for the black shadow,

The shadow arrives.

Today I was learning to use slides properly and to do linking.

I enjoyed using the animated gifs and finding spongebob stuff.

I found it challenging to to keep linking slides after each problem.

I found it challenging to get the timing right properly when taking a photo.

Taniwha

This was a cool peice of writing because we got to  describe our scene and the Taniwha.

Claws as sharp as a huge machete. 

Slowly drifting in the glistening water.

Looking for whales to slurp up.

As the Taniwha was gliding back to his whare his brother Mataku leaped over him and the taniwha said “Kia tupato ehoa!!!”

Ta moko’s covering the scaly face of the taniwha.

As the calm, taniwha heads in to his cave, he takes one last look around, closes his eyes and drifts off to te kingitanga wairua.

The Seven Stars

Today I was learning to use Brush Ninja to create an animation.

I enjoyed creating the animations and just having fun with Brush Ninja.

I found it challenging to put the stars in the right spot.

My digital learning object shows Matariki- the seven stars.

Next time I would change the order and actually try to finish it off.

LunaPic

Today I learnt how to use a new app called lunapic, it was a really cool experience.

One thing that I really enjoyed was being able to use lunapic and getting to custom our own photo's.

Lunapic was a really helpful app to  use and hopefully we can use it again some time.

Another thing that we learn't today was how to use slides properly and how to control camera's.

Mind Lab 2019

On Monday we had the mind lab come and visit. It was a cool experience and we had a lot of fun. We made animations of ourselves and made a mini movie with our character’s. My character was a future me with a bushy as beard and a slick as man bun with black shades a black flash jacket black chinos with black and white converses. What I liked about it was getting to create the characters and picking out the scenes. Another thing I liked about it was that there are different actions like slapping,laughing,arguing and my favourite, kiwiana.

My Dream Superpower

Superpower!

My Dream Superpower: My dream superpower would be   to be an Elementor. To control all elements. I could use the elements and become a hero. If I did become a hero I would come under the name AVATAR.

I would go around cities putting out fires,I would use my earth powers to make a hangi and the fire element to keep the city warm.

I chose this superpower because if I really was a hero I would literally be a GOD. With these elements I would probably have fire as my hair and earth as my arm. On the other arm I would have electricity, an ice face, legs made out of water, breath as strong as the wind and a red cloak. Strapped on my back I would have two ice swords and a bandana around my mouth so I look like a ninja and rock abs with rock scales. Around the rock abs I will have green representing the bush.

RESPECT Poster

This was a fun and different activity. It was really cool to do because it was crafty, and we could do it old school or modern. We had to create a respect poster to show people that were new or visiting our school what respect means to us. 

Respect Means...

To be contributing in everything, no talking back to teachers, have good attitude towards everything,listen to what people are doing,to pay attention,to use your manners,to not put people down, controlling your actions, to look after your environment, to respect the teachers and your elders, to respect other peoples property, to look after one another.

My Profile

Kia ora,  my name is Hohepa and I go to Matawai School. I am a year 7 student.  I am a Maori. I live in a family of six.  My tribes are Tuhoe and Ngati Porou.

My favourite subject in class is writing. I like writing because I think it's a challenge and it is really fun.

My favourite sport is rugby.   My favourite rugby player is probably Rieko Ioane and Nehe Milner-Skudder. This year I am not playing because I'm not allowed, my Dad said. Another sport I like is probably  basketball. My favourite basketball players is Steven Adams and Steph Curry.

 Coming up soon we have a ukulele concert in Gisborne. It is called The Ukulele underground. I don't know how many schools we are facing but I think there is gonna be heaps of people. My Ukulele teacher is Mrs Shaw, she is cool.

 I am looking forward to  hanging out with mates. Kicking back with family and helping my Matua’s around the Whare.
